Rock Newcomb

Growing up on a ranch in southern Idaho , Arizona-based artist Rock Newcomb developed a love of nature and his surroundings. Drawing from age 5, he went on to achieve advanced art degrees and taught art in the public sector for many years prior to a full-time art career.  Favorite subjects to paint include Southwest still-lifes, landscapes, and wildlife.

Artistic accomplishments have been acknowledged worldwide through awards, juried and invitational exhibitions, and numerous published articles by and about Rock.

Professional affiliations include signature member of Society of Animal Artists and International Society of Acrylic Painters.  Rock’s work is promoted and marketed by his wife and manager Cody.

Rock's works have also been auctioned at Christie’s of London and Sotheby’s of Sussex , England . Rock was chosen as a feature artist for the PBS series ‘The Artist’s Workshop,’ which began airing nationally in spring 2000 and will soon be featured internationally on BBC.
