As with most artists, grand visions of creating great works are often
amended as the rigors of life demand the attention of the artist. Kay
Northup began her career by studying art and art history at Texas
Tech University before being drawn to the sky to become an airline
stewardess. After meeting George in 1965, she soon found herself in
Jackson Hole in the fall of 1967 with a new son, Scott. Soon to follow was
daughter Leslie. The demands of surviving the early years of living in the
valley left Kay little time to pursue her true calling. Once the kids left
the coop, Kay was encouraged by George and several close friends to pick
up her brushes again.
Since then, Kay's work has become highly sought
after. Several galleries and collections feature her exquisite oil and
pastel paintings, as well as her glass pieces. Kay loves to experience her
art as well as paint it. She has traveled to Scandinavia, Scotland, Paris,
and several times to her favorite region, northern Italy.
Kay's works have been featured in:

displayed in U.S. Embassies throughout the world
